Russian drone strikes hit residential areas in Odesa and SBU headquarters in Lviv

Russian forces launched a massive drone offensive against the port city of Odesa overnight on Thursday, March 19, intentionally striking residential neighborhoods.
Serhiy Lysak, Head of the Odessa Regional Military Administration, confirmed that at least three civilians sustained injuries. Emergency crews were deployed immediately to manage the resulting fires in the city’s historic center.
Widespread structural damage reported
The attack damaged two apartment blocks and several private residences. While air defense units engaged over 20 enemy drones, two victims required hospitalization as debris fell across residential districts.
In a simultaneous escalation, a Russian UAV struck the regional headquarters of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) in Lviv on Wednesday evening. The extent of the damage to the strategic facility is currently being assessed.

Energy grid under renewed pressure
Further strikes targeted critical infrastructure near Novovolynsk. The kinetic impact caused significant power outages and disrupted local water supplies, leaving thousands without essential services.
Emergency responders remain on-site across all affected regions to stabilize the infrastructure. Recovery operations continue as authorities evaluate the full scale of the overnight bombardment.
