Moldova and Romania legal committees hold joint meeting in Chișinău

Members of the legal committees from the Parliament of the Republic of Moldova and the Senate of Romania will hold a joint session in Chisinau on Thursday, March 26. The discussions will focus on strengthening the rule of law, a central pillar of Moldova's accession process to the European Union.
The event will be opened by Igor Grosu, the Parliament Speaker. Following the meeting, Veronica Roșca, the President of the Legal, Appointments, and Immunities Committee, and Romanian Senator Cătălin-Daniel Fenechiu will hold press statements.
The delegation from Bucharest's program includes a series of high-level meetings with Deputy Prime Minister Mihail Popșoi, Minister of Justice Vladislav Cojuhari, and Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan.
Additionally, the Romanian senators will meet with members of the Parliamentary Friendship Group and make a symbolic visit to Ialoveni to lay flowers at King Ferdinand I's monument.
This marks the first joint meeting of the two committees in the current legislature, honoring the traditional practice of alternating meetings on both sides of the Prut.
