Police units nationwide receive modern data storage, interactive boards, and monitors

The National Police received a new batch of modern equipment that will be distributed to police subdivisions across the country in the near future. The equipment includes large monitors, interactive whiteboards, laptops, A3 printers, and advanced data storage solutions. These items are intended for use in areas where they will have a significant impact on operational activities.
The new technologies will assist police officers in analyzing video streams, making decisions, and undergoing continuous professional development. Additionally, the monitors and interactive whiteboards will enhance the analysis of real interventions, the development of tactical scenarios, and the training of personnel in managing complex situations. This will ultimately increase efficiency in public security missions.
The handover event for the latest batch of technology was attended by Fred Duijn, the Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to the Republic of Moldova, and Cosmin Dinescu, the Head of the EUPM Moldova Mission.
Viorel Cernăuțeanu, the Head of the General Inspectorate of Police (IGP), thanked the partners for their support. He also acknowledged the collaboration with the EUPM Mission and thanked its Head, who is concluding his mandate.
“The support provided directly contributes to strengthening the Police and aligning it with European standards. This investment enables the development and standardization of capabilities at the national level, ensuring that each territorial subdivision—regardless of its region—has the necessary tools for the safety of the communities we serve,” declared the head of the IGP.
The total value of the donation exceeds 164,000 euros.
