Moldova launches 2026 'Study in Moldova' fairs for graduates

Moldova’s national “Study in Moldova” campaign has resumed for 2026. The initiative features a new series of educational fairs designed for high school graduates.
Education Minister Dan Perciun announced that the first events will take place on Saturday, March 28. The fairs in Edineț and Cahul expect to host over 1,500 students from several northern and southern districts.
Regional academic expansion
During his regular weekly broadcast, Perciun confirmed he will personally attend the event in Cahul. The minister plans to unveil new academic programmes at the Technical University of Moldova’s (UTM) regional hub.
“We will engage with hundreds of students to discuss the academic and career paths available within Moldova, particularly in the Cahul region,” Perciun stated.
Logistics and national rollout
The Ministry of Education expects over 600 students in Edineț from the districts of Ocnița, Dondușeni, Briceni, and Rîșcani. Approximately 900 students from Cahul, Cantemir, Taraclia, Comrat, and Basarabeasca are anticipated at the southern venue.
Attendees will explore university offerings, join career orientation workshops, and meet with current students. The events start at 11:00 at the Edineț Palace of Culture and the Cahul university square.
The fairs will feature performances by local artists MAREJ and Kapushon to engage the young audience. The campaign will continue through April and May in Bălți, Căușeni, Soroca, Hîncești, Ungheni, and Orhei.
