Putin: The danger of a nuclear war is increasing

The risk of a nuclear war is increasing, Russian President Vladimir Putin said today, but he suggested that Moscow does not intend to use its nuclear arsenal, which it considers a defensive factor, Reuters reports.

Vladimir Putin addressed his Human Rights Council via video conference, criticising the West and denying rumours that Moscow is planning a second round of mobilisation for the conflict in Ukraine.
