Russian drone strikes on Nikopol kill five and wound 19 civilians

Russian military forces launched a wave of FPV drone strikes on the city of Nikopol, killing five people and injuring 19 others. The regional military administration head, Aleksandr Ganja, confirmed the casualties following an intensive period of bombardment.

The strikes primarily targeted civilian infrastructure, including several commercial stalls and local shops. Emergency services reported that the ensuing fires caused significant damage to the city’s trade district.

Among the deceased are three women and two men. Of the 19 individuals wounded, officials highlighted the case of a 14-year-old boy who remains in critical condition following the attack.

The overnight assault was part of a larger offensive involving more than 20 separate strikes across the Nikopol and Sinelnikove districts. Russian forces utilized a combination of kamikaze drones, heavy artillery, and aerial bombs to target the region.
