Soroca vocational school showcases high-demand careers during national caravan
The Caravan of Professions recently arrived at the Soroca Vocational School, offering middle and high school students a hands-on look at vocational excellence. The visit featured the traditional "Best in Trade" competition, highlighting various professional training programs through interactive demonstrations.
Participants showcased advanced skills in culinary arts and fashion design. Students prepared complex traditional dishes, including artisan aspics and regional pastries, demonstrating a transition from basic interests to professional-grade expertise.
The event also included sewing masterclasses where students crafted garments from non-traditional materials. This practical approach allowed visitors from surrounding villages like Voloave and Cosăuți to operate industrial equipment for the first time.
Beyond technical skills, the program emphasized the strategic importance of vocational education for Moldova's economy. Students explored IT labs and food quality control facilities, noting that these trades offer long-term career security within the country.
Director Ivan Luța explained that integrating the competition into the national caravan allows the institution to showcase tangible student success. This transparency helps prospective students make informed decisions about their professional futures.
The Caravan of Professions campaign will continue across the region until late June. The Soroca Vocational School plans to host weekly orientation visits for students from all district schools.
