Bomb alert at Chișinău International Airport: travelers evacuated; flights may be affected

There is a bomb alert at "Eugen Doga" International Airport in Chisinau. The border police acted quickly to evacuate passengers and staff from the airport. The check-in process has been suspended, and there may be changes to scheduled flights, according to an airport announcement.

According to the Border Police, specialized units from the Ministry of Internal Affairs are currently on the scene.

Travellers with flights scheduled for today, April 10, are advised to check the status of their flights on the airport's online board.

"We appreciate your understanding and urge you to remain calm," the Border Police stated in an announcement.

The trolleybus service in the area has been affected. For security reasons, trolleybuses on route No. 30 are only operating to Aeroport Str., as reported by the Chisinau Electric Transport Company.

This marks the second bomb alert at "Eugen Doga" International Airport in Chisinau since the beginning of April.
