Yellow frost alert, down to −3°C on April 15 in Moldova

The State Hydrometeorological Service has issued a Yellow Code for frost, which will be in effect across the Republic of Moldova. This weather phenomenon is expected on Wednesday, April 15, with nighttime and morning temperatures ranging from -1 to -3 degrees Celsius.

Meteorologists predict that by the end of this week, daytime temperatures will range from 13 to 20 degrees Celsius.

We remind you that frost alerts have been issued for the sixth consecutive day across the Republic of Moldova. Authorities are urging farmers to take precautions to minimize potential losses, particularly in the horticultural and vegetable sectors.

A direct train from Kyiv railway station to “Eugen Doga” Chișinău International Airport launched on April 14. The train left Kyiv on the evening of April 13 and arrived today near Chișinău, in Revaca, Sângera. From there, passengers were transported free of charge to the airport.

National Program: Nearly 7,000 people will learn Romanian this year

Over 6,800 people across the country have enrolled this year in Romanian language courses organized under the National Program for Romanian Language Learning 2026–2028. The program aims to develop adults’ language skills. In total, 100 groups have been formed nationwide, and the formation process continues as new requests from interested participants are received, the Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) reports.
