President Maia Sandu and Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi join global leaders at the 5th Antalya Diplomacy Forum

Moldovan President Maia Sandu and Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi are representing the country at the fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum. The high-level summit, held under the auspices of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, commenced on April 17.

The forum provides Chișinău with a strategic platform for high-level bilateral meetings. These engagements aim to bolster Moldova’s international standing and align its security interests with regional partners.

Strategic engagement on European competitiveness

On April 18, Foreign Minister Mihai Popșoi will address the "European Competitiveness in an Era of Uncertainty" panel. He will join counterparts from Luxembourg, Iceland, Ireland, and Türkiye to discuss economic resilience.

This participation underscores Moldova’s commitment to international dialogue. The delegation is focusing on strengthening external relations and contributing to both regional and global security frameworks.

Mapping the future of global diplomacy

The forum, themed "Mapping the Future, Managing Uncertainties," concludes on April 19. It has emerged as a premier global event, reflecting Türkiye's central role in facilitating modern international mediation and dialogue.

The summit has convened heads of state, ministers, and experts from approximately 100 countries. More than 40 sessions are scheduled to address the complex geopolitical tensions currently reshaping the Middle East and global trade.

Proactive response to geopolitical risks

Political leaders are focusing on anticipating global risks and developing proactive strategies. The three-day event aims to transform high-level analysis into concrete diplomatic actions amid heightening international volatility.

Chișinău’s presence at this major forum confirms Moldova’s active interest in regional processes. By engaging in these high-level sessions, the country ensures its perspective is integrated into the global diplomatic architecture.
