A new stock exchange may launch this summer in Republic of Moldova

A new stock exchange may launch this summer. Adrian Gheorghiță, the Vice President of the National Commission for the Financial Market (CNPF), mentioned on the "Pe față" show on Moldova 1 that the project is currently going through the authorization process. The institution is awaiting the necessary documentation for licensing.
"We remind you that this entity has undergone state registration. From discussions with the founders and current management, we understand they are preparing the licensing documentation. We anticipate that by summer, we will complete all licensing stages and establish a second stock exchange with the proper and functional documentation," said Gheorghiță.
According to him, the new platform would significantly change the trading landscape, particularly through digitalization and improved access for citizens.
"The way transactions occur on this regulated market will be fundamentally different from the current processes on the stock exchange in the Republic of Moldova. Transactions will take place in real time, allowing citizens to interact with the exchange and make online payments for offers," explained the vice president of the National Securities Commission.
