Large-scale raids in Orhei: National Anticorruption Center probes illegal party financing

The National Anticorruption Center (CNA) is conducting a major operation in the Orhei district as part of criminal cases aimed at addressing the illicit financing of political parties.
The information was confirmed to Teleradio-Moldova by the spokesperson for the National Anticorruption Center (CNA), Angela Starinschi.
According to her, CNA officers are conducting criminal proceedings in a complex case involving alleged illegal political financing schemes.
Currently, around 50 searches are being conducted simultaneously at various locations in Orhei. These searches are taking place both at individuals' homes and in other locations relevant to the investigation.
At this time, authorities are not providing details about the individuals being targeted or any possible detentions. However, these actions are part of a larger effort to investigate alleged illegal activities related to the financing of political parties.
CNA representatives have announced that they will provide additional information regarding this case in the future.
