Moldova agricultural hub trains 5,000 farmers in two years

The Agricultural and Rural Advisory Center (CCAR) has transformed the Republic of Moldova’s farming landscape by providing expert mentoring and strategic consulting to over 5,000 farmers within its first two years of operation.

Bridging the expertise gap

Under the leadership of Director Carolina Chiper, the Center focuses on high-impact knowledge transfer and on-site technology demonstrations. The institution identifies specific regional challenges to tailor its training sessions effectively.

Bottom-up strategic support

"Our activity is strictly aligned with the real needs of our producers," Chiper stated. Following each session, the Center uses farmer feedback to develop specialized curriculum, ensuring that technical solutions reach every corner of the country.

Practical field-based learning

A cornerstone of the CCAR strategy is the "field seminar" model. Established producers host young farmers to demonstrate modern cultivation techniques and sustainable practices, fostering a peer-to-peer learning environment that accelerates national adoption.

Facilitating access to finance

Beyond technical skills, CCAR acts as a strategic bridge between the farming community, financial institutions, and the scientific sector. These partnerships ensure that Moldovan farmers are equipped with both the capital and the research-backed data needed for modern agribusiness.
