Sandu to co-chair resilience session with Macron in Yerevan

President Maia Sandu will travel to Yerevan on May 4 to attend the European Political Community (EPC) Summit, hosted by Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
The Moldovan head of state will engage in several bilateral and multilateral meetings focused on accelerating Moldova's EU accession and strengthening security partnerships.
Strengthening democratic resilience
According to the Presidency, Sandu will co-chair a strategic session alongside French President Emmanuel Macron. The session focuses on democratic resilience against hybrid threats, a pivotal pillar of the current European security agenda.
The President will also participate in the meeting of the European Coalition Against Drugs, an initiative launched last year by President Macron and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni.
A forum for continental unity
The EPC Summit brings together leaders from over 40 countries, serving as a critical forum for political dialogue and security cooperation across the continent.
Official diplomatic relations between Armenia and Moldova were established in 1992. Armenia has maintained an embassy in Chișinău, led by Ambassador Tigran Galstyan since 2025.
Moldova is represented in Armenia through an Honorary Consulate in Yerevan, headed by Honorary Consul Makar Petrosyan.
