Andrei Puțuntică doubled the lead with another sensational 3-0 win over veteran Panagiotis Gionis. However, the Greek side mounted a resilient comeback as the match progressed, leveling the overall score to 2-2.
In the crucial matches, Denis Țărnă narrowly lost 2-3 to Georgios Stamatouros, while Ursu was defeated 1-3 in his second encounter with Gionis. The final outcome rested on the decisive match between Puțuntică and Sgouropoulos.
