The French president is in Romania for a few hours
The President of France, Emanuel Macron, landed this morning in Bucharest. It is a short visit, of only a few hours, during which the plane bringing the French official from China makes a technical stopover, writes Euronews, during which Macron can leave the aircraft.
The presidential salon was prepared for Emmanuel Macron to be welcomed by a delegation made up of representatives of the French embassy in Bucharest and representatives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to the Presidential Administration, President Klaus Iohannis will not be present at the airport to meet with Emmanuel Macron.
The French president spent three days in China, where he met with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. The two leaders reached an agreement on cooperation and the deepening of bilateral relations between the two states. In the same document, it is stated that both sides support all efforts to restore peace in Ukraine based on international law and the purposes and principles of the UN Charter."
