Bogdan Aurescu discussed with the head of French diplomacy about the threats to the Republic of Moldova
The war started by Russia in Ukraine, as well as the threats to the Republic of Moldova, were discussed today by the head of Romanian diplomacy, Bogdan Aurescu with Catherine Colonna, the head of diplomacy in Paris. The two officials had a meeting in Bucharest, after the official aircraft of French President Emmanuel Macron landed on Saturday morning at the Henri Coandă Airport in Otopeni, this was part of a technical stopover, not as a result of an official visit.
The announcement of the meeting was made public by the French ambassador to Romania, Laurence Auer, notes Digi24.ro. The head of French diplomacy in Romania said that the two foreign ministers discussed the regional security situation, as well as European and bilateral issues, such as the war started by Russia in Ukraine, threats to the Republic of Moldova and Romania's accession to the Schengen area.
The official aircraft of French President Emmanuel Macron makes a technical stopover for refueling on the way back from China. At the airport's official lounge, the French delegation, which includes several ministers and businessmen, was awaited by Foreign Minister Bogdan Aurescu.
