eYou AI social platform launches in Romania

A new AI-integrated social media ecosystem, designed to verify post authenticity in real-time, has officially launched in Romania. Developed by French entrepreneurs based in Bucharest, eYou debuted on May 5 as a European alternative to dominant global platforms.

The platform aims to combat the rapid spread of disinformation. According to the developers, fake news circulates six times faster than verified information on traditional networks. eYou addresses this by prioritizing trust and digital sovereignty.

"eYou features automated information verification for every post," the founders stated. The news feed connects directly to Reuters and AFP, allowing users to customize their own algorithmic preferences.

A recent survey conducted for the launch highlights significant user demand. Findings show that 96% of users feel manipulated on current social networks, while 92% seek integrated fact-checking tools. Furthermore, 86% prefer a European application over American or Chinese alternatives.

"Europeans want their own platforms based on transparency and data protection," said co-founder Grégoire Vigroux. The app differentiates itself through multi-model AI monitoring, where competing algorithms minimize errors and neutralize bias.

To ensure total control and security, all data is hosted exclusively on European Union servers. The project is managed by a lean development team dedicated to maintaining product integrity.

The application is currently free and will not feature advertising in the near future. The developers' current priority is user growth and retention rather than immediate monetization.

Currently, eYou has 50,000 users. While the majority are located in Romania, the platform is gaining traction in the United States, Sweden, Germany, the United Kingdom, and France.

The eYou application is now available for download on both Android and iOS.
