Maia Sandu and several European officials will open the EU Moldova Investment Conference on June 4

President Maia Sandu, European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos, and Moldova’s Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu will officially open the EU Moldova Investment Conference on June 4. The event will highlight Moldova’s investment potential and support the integration of the national economy into European value chains.

The conference will bring together representatives from companies, European institutions, and financial organizations as investor interest in the Moldovan market continues to grow, according to Moldova’s Investment Agency.

The agency stated that “this high level opening will create the framework for a strategic dialogue on Moldova’s investment potential, the country’s integration into European value chains, and the opportunities created through the EU Growth Plan for Moldova.”

The conference will also take place alongside the European Commission’s call for expressions of interest in investment opportunities in Moldova, directed at companies from the European Union, the European Economic Area, and the Republic of Moldova.

The Investment Agency noted that the call “has already generated significant interest, with 45 project proposals submitted during the first stage” in sectors such as energy and renewable resources, agrifood, digitalization, transport, and logistics.

The agency also stressed that, as Moldova advances in the European integration process, the EU Moldova Investment Conference will serve as a platform to strengthen economic partnerships and attract strategic investment. The event will feature high level discussions, roundtables, sector focused pitching sessions, and B2B meetings between investors, companies, and government representatives.
