Moldova wins a medal and an honorable mention at the European Girls’ Informatics Olympiad

The Republic of Moldova secured a bronze medal and an honorable mention at the 5th European Olympiad in Informatics for Girls, held from May 12 to 18 in Cesenatico, Italy.
The bronze medal was won by Anastasia Corsac, an 11th grade student at the "Orizont" Theoretical Lyceum in Durlești, and the honorable mention went to Alexandra Kirillov, an 11th grade student at the same educational institution.

This year's competition featured 248 students from 59 countries, according to the Ministry of Education and Research.
The Moldovan team at the European Olympiad in Informatics for Girls was led by Dr. Angela Globa, an associate professor at "Ion Creangă" State Pedagogical University in Chisinau, and Dr. Corina Negara, an associate professor at "Alecu Russo" State University in Bălți.
