EU support for Zubrești and Anenii Noi: $80,000 allocated to each

The village of Zubrești in the Strașeni district, along with the town of Anenii Noi, will receive support from the European Union and UNDP to develop their local economies. This assistance is part of the "Mayors for economic growth" initiative and the "Mission-oriented portfolios" program.

For one year, local governments and teams will collaborate with UNDP experts to identify project ideas that can foster economic growth in their communities.

In the initial phase, localities will receive technical and financial support, with each locality eligible for up to $20,000 to develop a portfolio of projects.

Following this, one project idea will be selected for implementation and will receive up to $60,000 in financial support.

This program will enable villages to create and implement concrete projects to stimulate the local economy and generate new opportunities for the community.

In addition to localities in the Republic of Moldova, two locations each from Armenia and Ukraine have also been selected:

The Republic of Moldova requires around 100,000 workers to boost productivity and, consequently, the economy. This is in contrast to the 300,000 foreign workers reported by the press. Deputy Prime Minister Eugen Osmochescu, Minister of Economic Development and Digitalization, provided these clarifications to address misinformation about a supposed "invasion" of foreign workers in the Moldovan labor market.

First personal exhibition showcases sculptor Pavel Obreja’s artistic vision

The inaugural personal sculpture exhibition of young artist Pavel Obreja took place at the National Museum of Romanian Literature in Chișinău. The exhibition features 25 works created over the last decade of his artistic career. Earlier this year, a selection of these artworks was also showcased in Iași during the Romanian Sculptors Month.
