1,160 more families eligible for 6,000-lei EcoVouchers

From May 22 to June 7, another 1,160 families across the country will receive 6,000 lei each to purchase energy-efficient household appliances as part of a new session of the EcoVoucher Program.

Support is provided with the assistance of the European Union and is aimed at families with minor children, elderly individuals aged 63 and over, and people with severe disabilities.

Selected beneficiaries, who must be registered in the Energy Vulnerability Information System, will be notified via SMS or email about voucher availability. These vouchers can be accessed through the compensatii.gov.md platform.

The National Center for Sustainable Energy (CNED) states, "The EcoVoucher remains an important tool for supporting families, offering vouchers worth 6,000 lei for the purchase of energy-efficient household appliances, such as refrigerators and washing machines, that comply with European (CE) efficiency and conformity standards."

The vouchers cover up to 70% of the price of these household appliances. They can be used during the active period of the session, which lasts until June 7, to purchase energy-efficient refrigerators and washing machines. To redeem the voucher, beneficiaries must return a used household appliance of the same type.

CNED also notes, "The results of the EcoVoucher program confirm the positive impact of the implemented measures. Beneficiaries report significant savings on their monthly bills, increased household comfort, and a greater interest in energy-efficient equipment. Since its launch, 41,645 families in the Republic of Moldova have benefited from vouchers for the purchase of large household appliances."

The Household Appliances Voucher Program was developed by the Government of the Republic of Moldova with the support of the European Union. The 2026 edition of EcoVoucher is financed by the European Union with an estimated budget of 1 million euros through the “Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy in the Republic of Moldova” project, implemented by the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ).
