In the summer of 2026, there will be over 19,000 spots available at children's camps in the Republic of Moldova, which includes 27 public and 14 private camps. The Ministry of Education and Research (MEC) estimates that there will be approximately 19,631 places, although the final number may fluctuate based on the authorization and capacity of each camp.
In addition to traditional overnight camps, day camps will also be held in schools and after-school centers. The focus will be on ensuring child safety, adhering to health regulations, and organizing educational and recreational activities.
The estimated cost is approximately 402 lei per day for camps with accommodation and 315 lei per day for day camps.
Twenty-five percent of tickets will be provided free of charge to children from vulnerable families, while the remaining tickets can be purchased at 20% of the cost.
The camp season will begin in June and continue until the end of August, organized in three to six shifts, each lasting 10 to 15 days.
The Ministry of Education and Culture has previously indicated that ticket prices for children's summer camps will increase by about 4.7% this year.
