“The Republic of Moldova Presents” exhibition brings both banks of the Prut together in Vaslui
Moldovan products and services will be promoted for three days in the Romanian city of Vaslui, during an event dedicated to strengthening economic relations. The second edition of "The Republic of Moldova Presents" exhibition in Vaslui is being organized from June 5 to 7.
The event features over 60 companies from the Republic of Moldova, spanning various economic sectors, including textiles, agricultural production, and handicrafts. It provides Moldovan producers the chance to showcase their products and services in the Romanian market while also identifying potential new business partners.
During the opening ceremony, Sergiu Harea, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Moldova, emphasized the significance of enhancing economic cooperation between Moldova and Romania.
“This event brings together business leaders from both sides of the Prut, giving them the opportunity to establish sustainable partnerships and successful ventures. Romania is the Republic of Moldova's primary trading partner and serves as the main gateway to the European Union market. Trade between our countries has surpassed four billion dollars, highlighting the tremendous potential for collaboration,” stated Sergiu Harea.
The mayor of Vaslui, Lucian Braniște, emphasized the project's impact on the economic and cultural relations between the two countries.
"The first edition was a success, which is why we are organizing business meetings this year to create new collaboration opportunities. We are pleased that you are here to showcase the authentic products from the Republic of Moldova," the mayor said.
The president of the Vaslui Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture, Ionel Constantin, also highlighted the strategic importance of cross-border economic cooperation. He stated that "in Vaslui, the two banks of the Prut come together, shaping a common path to Europe."
In addition to the exhibition, the event's agenda includes business meetings designed to facilitate direct dialogue between entrepreneurs from the Republic of Moldova and Romania, generating new trade and investment partnerships.
" The Republic of Moldova Presents" exhibition is one of the most significant economic promotion projects organized by the Chamber of Commerce of the Republic of Moldova in Romania. Launched in 2016 in Iași, the project has become a tradition and has been hosted in various Romanian cities over the years, including Brașov, Baia Mare, Cluj-Napoca, and Vaslui.
