The commune of Lăpușna in the Hâncești district is currently benefiting from five local development projects. These projects include the construction and equipping of a new town hall, the rehabilitation of local roads, the creation of a modern laboratory for students, and the construction of fitness fields and playgrounds for children.

One of the projects currently in the final stages of implementation, funded through the "European Village" Program, aims to install engineering systems—including heating, ventilation, electrical networks, fire protection, water supply, and sewage—in the new building of the Lăpușna City Hall. Additionally, the project includes constructing modern sanitary facilities and equipping ten offices with high-performance equipment.

Approximately 13.45 million lei have been allocated from the National Fund for Regional and Local Development (FNDRL), with a contribution of over two million lei from local public authorities (APL). As a result of these improvements, the 20 employees at City Hall will enjoy decent working conditions, and the commune's residents, including local businesses, will have access to quality public services delivered in a modern, well-equipped facility.

According to the mayor of the commune, Ion Chiosa, the lack of an adequate headquarters for the city hall has been one of the community's main challenges for decades.

"The former city hall was destroyed in a fire in 1987. Since then, employees have been forced to work in inadequate conditions, without centralized heating and with a sanitary facility located in the yard. Later, they were relocated to an administrative building of a former agricultural household owned by a private entity," declared Ion Chiosa.

As the third-largest commune in the district by population, Lăpușna has an educational institution attended by approximately 440 students, a kindergarten with 150 children, and over 50 local businesses. The need for a modern headquarters has become increasingly urgent, according to the mayor.

"Residents are eager to access public services in a modern environment, and employees need suitable working conditions. We plan to move into the new headquarters starting September 1, where all administrative activities, including community meetings, will be held," added the mayor of Lăpușna.

In parallel, according to the National Office for Local and Regional Development, another significant project, "Modernization of local roads through the construction of asphalt concrete surfaces and the arrangement of paved pedestrian walkways in the village of Lăpușna," is also being implemented through the "Europe is Close" Program.

A total of 1.55 km of local roads across four sectors, currently in an advanced state of degradation, will be fully rehabilitated. This project will provide access to key locations, including the entrance to "Lăpușna" Theoretical Lyceum, the "Concordia" Children's Center, and the local cemetery. Furthermore, sidewalks and pedestrian paths will be installed along this 1.55 km stretch, improving access to these public institutions. The implementation of these works is funded with over 7.7 million lei from the FNDRL, with an additional contribution of approximately 990 thousand lei from the local public administration (LPA).

In addition, Lăpușna Theoretical Lyceum has received funding for a modern classroom and laboratory for technological education, as well as for chemistry, geography, physics, and robotics courses, with around 400 thousand lei allocated from the state budget.

The commune of Lăpușna has also benefited from the construction of a fitness ground and children's playgrounds, which are equipped with modern facilities at a cost exceeding 360 thousand lei.

We remind you that the villages of Anini and Rusca are also part of the Lăpușna commune, which has a total population of approximately 3,400, including about 700 children.
