Moldova police seize undocumented goods in Strășeni raid
Strășeni police officers seized over 1,000 cigarette packs, 3,600 loose cigarettes, 1,170 liters of alcohol, and undocumented pyrotechnics during a targeted regional operation. The confiscated illicit goods are valued at over €5,870 (approx. 115,000 MDL).
Investigation details
Investigators discovered the contraband items during synchronized searches at the residence and within three vehicles belonging to a 40-year-old resident of Lozova village. None of the uncovered products carried the mandatory state excise stamps or legal certificates of origin.
The illegal merchandise was impounded and transferred to specialized forensics units for expert evaluation. The suspect remains under investigation without being detained, while authorities continue actions to identify potential accomplices.
