US deploys military logistics for potential Iran pact in Geneva

The United States has deployed four C-17 transport aircraft toward Europe. This strategic move supports the potential arrival of Vice President JD Vance in Geneva for a prospective bilateral agreement with Iran, according to reports by Axios.

Military logistics are currently aligning with a potential signing ceremony scheduled for the coming days. The proposed Memorandum of Understanding aims to extend the existing truce by 60 days while initiating a broader framework for addressing Iran’s nuclear program.

The draft agreement mandates the immediate reopening of the Strait of Hormuz without transit tariffs. It further seeks the restoration of maritime shipping volumes to pre-war levels within 30 days.

In exchange, Iran would commit to non-proliferation and address international concerns regarding its enriched uranium stockpiles. The Iranian Foreign Ministry states that Tehran remains uncommitted to the final terms.

Should the accord be ratified, it will be titled the "Islamabad Agreement." This nomenclature acknowledges the mediation efforts facilitated by Qatar and Pakistan.
