China Days in Chisinau showcase traditions, food and Chinese art
Chinese traditions, gastronomy, and art were celebrated during the event "China Days in Chisinau." Visitors took advantage of the beautiful weather and formed long lines to experience the tea ceremony, along with games and interactive activities dedicated to Chinese culture.

Residents of Chisinau had the opportunity to enjoy dishes that are typical of Chinese cuisine.
"The ingredients include rice, eggs, and various types of beans, as well as meat, depending on personal preferences. Essentially, you can add any ingredients you like. It's a fried rice dish."
"The food was delicious and reminded me of our own sarmale ( rolled rice cabbage). It contained similar ingredients: rice, chicken, and cabbage."
"The tea was excellent, with a sweet flavor and a hint of rose aroma. It was very enjoyable and reminded me of Japanese cuisine."
The program also featured a presentation on China’s national sport, table tennis.
"I fondly recall my youth; I used to play it in school and in various situations."
Most visitors expressed admiration for China's charm and a desire to visit in the future.
"Although the lines were a bit long, our curiosity kept us waiting. I enjoyed the presentation, and we are really eager to experience it for ourselves one day."
"Upon arrival, we were greeted by an atmosphere reminiscent of China, filled with people and vibrant traditions from a huge, colorful country."

The inaugural China Days in Chisinau were celebrated this year, marking 34 years since the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Republic of Moldova and the People's Republic of China.
Dong Zhihua, the Chinese ambassador to Moldova, stated, "We have supported each other on issues related to sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national interests. Our aim is to continue promoting these friendly relations, particularly through pragmatic economic cooperation and cultural exchanges."
Minister of Culture Cristian Jardan said, "We are discussing China, one of the world's superpowers. We strengthen our relationship primarily through cultural activities, which can often serve as effective substitutes for traditional diplomacy."
The event in Chisinau coincided with the eve of the Dragon Boat Festival, one of China's most significant traditional holidays, with a history spanning more than two millennia.
