Co-rapporteurs from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), Zanda Kalniņa-Lukaševica and Antonio Gutiérrez Limones, are on a fact-finding mission to Moldova from June 14 to 17. The visit focuses on evaluating recent political developments and ongoing state reforms.

According to the Moldovan Parliament, the agenda covers anti-corruption efforts, justice sector reform, local public administration, and the Transnistrian conflict settlement process. Officials will also review updated parliamentary procedural rules.

The delegation is scheduled to meet with high-level state representatives, including Parliament Speaker Igor Grosu and Prime Minister Alexandru Munteanu. Meetings with leaders of the judicial branch, including Constitutional Court President Domnica Manole, are also prioritized.

These discussions underscore Moldova’s 31-year relationship with the Council of Europe. Since joining the organization in 1995, Moldova has remained under the PACE monitoring procedure, navigating a complex path of democratic transformation and institutional alignment.
