CNAM Launches ‘Ana’ AI virtual assistant for healthcare access

The National Health Insurance Company (CNAM) has launched “Ana,” an AI-driven virtual assistant integrated into its official web portal. This initiative marks a strategic move to digitize public healthcare services in Moldova.
The assistant provides instant responses to common inquiries, guiding users through the complexities of the mandatory health insurance system. Citizens can now verify insurance status, clarify payment procedures, and identify covered medical services without navigating traditional bureaucratic channels.
The project is currently in a pilot phase. CNAM officials are actively monitoring system performance and user interaction to refine the assistant’s capabilities.
Authorities encourage public participation during this testing period. Users are invited to submit feedback, which will be instrumental in optimizing the assistant to meet evolving healthcare needs.
