Premier league 2026/27 fixtures: Arsenal face Coventry in opener
The official fixture list for the 2026/2027 Premier League season has been released. Reigning champions Arsenal will open the campaign at home against newly-promoted Coventry City on Friday, August 21, at 22:00.
The opening round's marquee matchup sees Newcastle United host Liverpool at St James' Park. Liverpool look to maintain their dominance after winning both encounters last season, securing a 3-2 away victory and a 4-1 win at Anfield.
Early London and Manchester derbies
London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea will clash at the Emirates Stadium in week three, scheduled for early September.
The following weekend features the 199th Manchester derby as Manchester United host Manchester City at Old Trafford.
Manchester United won the last derby 2-0 in January, a result that sparked a significant resurgence under Michael Carrick and led to their qualification for the UEFA Champions League league phase.
Autumn and spring schedules
Manchester City face another stern away test in week six when they travel to Anfield to play Liverpool. The match will take place in October, immediately following the international break.
The two top title contenders from last season, Arsenal and Manchester City, will meet in week 12.
The 2026/2027 Premier League campaign will conclude with the final round of matches on May 30, 2027.
