Chisinau Pride March held in Chisinau; Participants support equality
The Chisinau Pride March, organized by representatives of the LGBTQI+ Moldova Platform, is taking place in the capital. The event took place at the intersection of București str. and Ismail str., where dozens of people gathered with flags and music, participating peacefully.
Participants expressed their commitment to supporting equality, respect for human rights, and the freedom for every individual to live without discrimination.
The 25th edition of the Moldova Pride 2026 Festival kicks off with the launch of the "Moldova Pride 2026" promotional video, centered around the message "Love creates, the law protects." This year, the event has been renamed to highlight the principle that public spaces belong to everyone.
The safety of participants is ensured by law enforcement officers in accordance with all legal regulations.
Before the start of the Pride March, around 30 believers gathered in the center of Chisinau for a prayer event organized by the "Buna Vestire" Church. According to the organizers, the event was dedicated to LGBT individuals and those who support the movement.
On the eve of the march, socialists organized a counter-demonstration. Thousands participated in the Family March, which promoted traditional values and supported efforts to increase the birth rate.
