OSCE Commissioner visits Chisinau, highlighting equal rights and opportunities for all

European integration involves creating a society where every citizen feels respected and has equal opportunities to thrive. This was stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Mihai Popșoi during a meeting with Ambassador Christophe Kamp, the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities, who was visiting Chișinău.

Deputy Prime Minister Mihai Popșoi reaffirmed the authorities' commitment to promoting human rights and fostering a society based on mutual respect and inclusion. He emphasized that these principles are fundamental to the Republic of Moldova's European integration.

"Our European path is closely linked to building an inclusive society, where every citizen feels respected and has equal opportunities. We will continue to promote the Romanian language, support linguistic and cultural diversity, and develop projects that unite communities across the country," stated Mihai Popșoi.

During the meeting, participants highlighted the significance of multilingual education in facilitating the social and economic participation of all citizens. They also stressed the importance of promoting the Romanian language while preserving and developing the languages of national minorities.

Cooperation in implementing projects for educational institutions and enhancing dialogue between communities was also acknowledged as vital.
