Soroca students achieve perfect Baccalaureate scores amid rising trend
Two high school graduates from the Constantin Stere Theoretical High School in Soroca have achieved perfect scores across all national Baccalaureate examinations. Arina Ceban and Alexandrina Crudu completed their secondary education by securing maximum grades in every subject, positioning themselves at the top of the country's academic elite.

Both graduates indicated an interest in pursuing higher education at universities in neighboring Romania, though they noted that continuing their studies within the Republic of Moldova remains a viable option.
Institutional performance and global standards
The institutional success extends across the entire institution. In Crudu’s specific class, 13 out of 17 students automatically received maximum grades in the English language examination after obtaining internationally recognized language certifications. Furthermore, six students secured perfect marks in computer science through equivalent specialized global exams.
Class homeroom teacher Valerina Vacarova expressed pride in the cohort's performance, noting that the exceptional results aligned with the high academic standards demonstrated by the students throughout their studies.

National academic metrics rise
Ariadna Mazniuc, the homeroom teacher for Arina Ceban, highlighted that their class achieved an overall grade point average of 9.12. School director Vasile Baș confirmed that out of 55 total graduates from the institution this year, 52 successfully passed all examinations, representing a high institutional graduation rate.
Preliminary national data reflects a broader upward trend in academic excellence across the country. A total of 85 graduates achieved perfect Baccalaureate averages nationwide this year, representing a steady increase from 73 top scorers in 2025 and 47 in 2024. Ministry officials indicated that the final number of perfect scores could increase following the resolution of remaining student appeals.
