ASEM, the new champion of the Republic of Moldova in women's volleyball
The team of the Academy of Economic Studies is the new champion of the Republic of Moldova in women's volleyball. ASEM defeated Dinamo Tiraspol without appeal in the fifth and decisive match of the final series, played in the city across the Dniester.
The student team won the match without any right of appeal with the score of 3:0 in sets. The team from the capital won them by the scores of 25:16, 25:21 and 25:22 and thus won for the first time the title of women's volleyball champion of the country.
The fact that the team of the Academy of Economic Studies was leading in the final series with an overall score of 0:2, but managed a memorable "comeback" and achieved three consecutive victories, thus prevailing overall with a score of 3:2.
