"The light of justice will shine": Zelensky congratulated Ukrainians on Easter
Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelensky congratulated Ukrainians on Easter and drew a parallel between the resurrection of Christ and the revival of Ukraine, Unian reports.
"Today we celebrate the feast of the Resurrection of the Lord. Its main symbol is the victory of goodness, truth, and life. With unshakeable faith in the irreversibility of these victories, we celebrate Easter," the Kiev leader said.
Zelensky stressed that after the victory over all Ukrainian territories, the "light of justice" will shine.
"This is the light of reunification of people and families (...) This is the light of rebirth. The restoration of what the occupier destroyed and mutilated. The restoration of our beautiful country, which will become even more beautiful in the future. This is the light of truth and truth. The triumph of right and justice," said Volodimir Zelensky.
This year, Easter is again taking place under military restrictions. Believers were allowed to attend night services, but on condition they stayed inside places of worship and did not go out until morning.
In addition, in several regions, citizens were banned from visiting cemeteries. These restrictions apply to the frontline regions and to those areas that were previously liberated from Russian occupation. The reason is the large number of mines and ammunition remaining in these places.
