Radio Moldova Youth moves into a modern new newsroom

Radio Moldova Youth has relocated to a new building. The editorial office was completely renovated and equipped with modern technology. Young people now have better conditions to pursue their activities with greater ambition and determination.

There are currently 14 people working in the editorial office of Radio Moldova Youth. They have been operating in an old and cramped space, making the construction of a new headquarters necessary.

"There was definitely a need for a new workspace. Our team works from anywhere, and if you enjoy what you do—whether from home or on the bus—the location doesn’t matter. However, when you enter a new setting that features well-combined colors, a new table, and comfortable chairs, it certainly impacts your well-being and energy," says journalist Ana Rotaru.

"We have a new editorial office that is bright, beautiful, and welcoming, just like our team. To say that our work process has changed dramatically would not be accurate, as we were working just as productively before. However, our motivation has increased slightly. We like what we see, and we feel very good here," adds journalist Alina Tanas.

The editorial office has been newly furnished, providing young journalists with a more comfortable working environment, including a relaxation space.

"First of all, we have more space, and we now have tables and chairs. We also have a coffee area. The best coffee can be found at Radio Moldova Youth, where we discuss all things. It’s where we plan, analyze our shows, and even share a smile,” said Elena Stegari, the head of Radio Moldova Youth.

As the first public radio station dedicated to young people, Radio Moldova Youth serves as a platform for those aspiring to build a career in journalism.

"We have expanded our coverage and secured many frequencies from the Audiovisual Council, allowing the radio station to be heard throughout the Republic of Moldova. Our broadcasts are becoming increasingly better, more energetic, and more substantial. It’s also a valuable source of talent for various editorial offices at Teleradio-Moldova. Providing our colleagues with the right working conditions is essential for their continued growth," declared Vlad Țurcanu, the interim general director of Teleradio-Moldova.

This fall, Radio Moldova Youth is celebrating 14 years since its establishment and can now be heard on 25 frequencies.
