Russian attacks in Ukraine leave five dead, 35 injured

Recent Russian attacks in Ukraine have resulted in at least five fatalities and injuries to 35 others, according to Ukrainian officials.

In the city of Kryvyi Rih, which is the hometown of President Volodymyr Zelensky, two people were killed when a Russian drone struck an industrial facility early on Sunday, according to Oleksandr Vilkul, the head of the military administration.

Additionally, a Russian drone attack in the area near Nikopol, a frontline city in the Dnipropetrovsk region, claimed the life of one man.

In the city of Dnipro, Russian forces caused severe damage to a food processing plant; however, no casualties were reported, as stated by Governor Oleksandr Hanzha.

In Kherson, a Russian drone dropped an explosive device on civilians overnight, resulting in one death and two injuries, according to Yaroslav Shanko, the head of the city’s military administration.

Later that morning, on July 12, Russian forces targeted a bus and a bus station, injuring at least four people.

In total, at least 15 civilians in Kherson have been reported injured within the past 24 hours due to Russian attacks on hospitals, public transport, homes, and ambulances, as reported by The Kyiv Independent.

In Sloviansk, Russian forces killed one civilian and injured six others.

In Kharkiv, 18 people were injured, including a 16-year-old girl, when Russian drones bombed the city, causing damage to apartments and businesses.

On Sunday night, Russian forces launched a total of 13 missiles and 115 drones across the country. Ukrainian air defences successfully shot down or neutralised seven missiles and 95 drones.
