Moldova joins Coalition of Will at Paris summit to support Ukraine

President Maia Sandu participates today, July 13, in the Paris meeting of the Coalition of Will. This marks Moldova's first invitation to the platform, which coordinates political and diplomatic support for Ukraine.
The coalition brings together 37 nations to ensure a just and durable peace, preventing future aggression. It is currently co-chaired by France, Germany, and the United Kingdom.
Neutrality and cooperation
The Presidency clarified that participation remains compatible with Moldova’s constitutional neutrality. The coalition functions as a flexible cooperation format, allowing each state to define its own contribution.
Moldova has consistently supported Ukraine since the start of the conflict. Efforts include providing refuge, maintaining transit corridors for exports, and training Ukrainian demining experts.
Linked security interests
"The security of Ukraine and the security of Moldova are closely linked," the Presidency stated. "A just and durable peace in Ukraine ensures stability for Moldova and the entire continent."
Moldova shares a 1,222 km border with Ukraine. The nation continues to act as a reliable security partner for both Ukraine and Europe.
