Ministry of Culture allocates over 9.6 million lei to support three children's magazines
Three periodicals aimed at school and preschool children will receive state subsidies totaling over 9.6 million lei. These magazines are "Alunelul", "Noi" and "Florile Dalbe" all of which were founded by the Ministry of Culture.
As of 2023, the circulation for the following magazines is reported:
- Magazine "Florile Dalbe" – 87,480 copies
- Magazine "Noi" – 12,240 copies
- Magazine "Alunelul" – 77,800 copies
Subsidies for these magazines will be calculated as the difference between the selling price and the printing expenses incurred from 2025 to 2028.
In 2023-2024, the three magazines received a total of 4.8 million lei in subsidies.
In May 2026, the Ministry of Culture launched the second competition for granting subsidies from the Media Subsidy Fund. A total of 14 editorial offices across the country will receive funding exceeding six million lei.
The largest amounts will be allocated to:
- Observatorul de Nord – 700,000 lei
- Noroc TV – 699,941 lei
- Agro TV – 699,600 lei
- Agora portal – 693,200 lei
In the first competition, held in April 2026, 22 projects were selected, with subsidies totalling over 13.5 million lei.
