Moldova Employment Agency helps 13,000 find jobs in 2026

More than 13,000 job seekers in Moldova have secured employment through the National Employment Agency (ANOFM) since the start of 2026, according to official data released on July 17.
The agency reported 13,013 total placements during this period. About one-third of those hired held official status as registered unemployed individuals, while the remainder were either unregistered job seekers or workers seeking career transitions.
Targeted support for vulnerable workforce groups
Older job seekers accounted for nearly one-fifth of all placements, with citizens aged 55 and above successfully entering the workforce. The initiative also integrated 227 persons with disabilities into active jobs.
In addition, agency programs facilitated market integration for 49 returning Moldovan migrants and 25 individuals from the Roma community.

Demographics and key employment sectors
Among the 4,044 officially registered unemployed individuals who found work, 59.8% reside in rural areas. Young adults aged 16 to 35 represented 27.7% of this group, while citizens aged 55 to 63 comprised 19.8%.
Community, social, and personal services absorbed the largest share of workers at 37.6%. Agriculture accounted for 15.9% of placements, followed by retail and wholesale trade at 14.5%, manufacturing and industry at 8.8%, public administration at 5.3%, and construction at 4.1%.
Public assistance and strategic goals
Citizens seeking information on job vacancies, employment conditions, or support services can contact the agency's toll-free call center at 0 8000 1000 from Monday to Friday, between 08:00 and 17:00, or visit www.angajat.md.
Moldova's Ministry of Labor and Social Protection aims to assist 25,000 individuals in finding employment during 2026. This initiative forms part of a broader national strategy to integrate 100,000 people into the labor market by 2030.
