Facebook and Instagram suffer widespread outage

On Sunday, July 19, Facebook and Instagram encountered technical issues, leaving thousands of users across several countries unable to access their accounts or utilize the platforms.
Reports of technical issues began appearing on the DownDetector website around 11:00 AM, with the number of complaints rising rapidly, according to Mediafax.
On the desktop version of Facebook, users are encountering a message stating, "Account temporarily unavailable." The message continues: "Your account is currently unavailable due to a site problem. We expect this issue to be resolved shortly. Please try again in a few minutes."
The company believes that the problem will be resolved soon and advises users to attempt reconnecting in a few minutes.
The DownDetector website, which tracks online service outages, has reported a sudden surge in complaints. Notably, there was a significant increase in reports regarding Instagram on Sunday morning.
As of now, the company has not provided any details about the cause of the technical issue. This isn't the first time Meta's platforms have experienced service interruptions.
