Ion Ceban proposes signing an agreement similar to Romania's Snagov Pact

The National Alternative Movement will participate in the demonstration announced by Maia Sandu. Ion Ceban proposed signing an agreement similar to the Snagov Pact in Romania. The Chisinau pact should therefore build a political partnership with the objective of joining the European Union by 2030. The mayor of Chisinau recommends voting on this pact at the national assembly on 21 May.

"Here, I would call for consolidation, for unity, even if we have different positions. So, I want to make the announcement that I spoke about at the MAN Party congress and repeatedly announced about the Chisinau pact, similar to the Snagov pact. The MAN Party advocates that European integration should be the national idea of the Republic of Moldova," said the Chisinau mayor.

However, other right-wing parties dispute Ion Ceban's loyalty to the European idea because of his socialist past.

In December, Mayor Ceban launched his own political project - the MAN party.
