Foreign Minister Nicu Popescu visits Brussels. He will present Moldova's contribution to the EU Enlargement Report

The Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, is leaving today for a working visit to Brussels to present the Republic of Moldova's contribution to the EU Enlargement Report for 2023.

The Moldovan head of diplomacy said that "this is a historic moment in our process of accession to the EU". The report comprises some 1,000 pages describing progress and reforms over the past year.

In the coming days, the Moldovan Head of Diplomacy will meet with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign and Security Policy, Josep Borrell, the Director General of the EU Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Gert-Jan Koopman, and the Deputy Director General of the Directorate General for Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations, Katarína Mathernová.

During his visit to Brussels, Deputy Prime Minister Nicu Popescu will also discuss the organisation by Moldova of the European Political Community Summit on 1 June.
