Value Added Tax will be refunded to farmers who have lost more than 50% of their agricultural production
The state will reimburse agricultural producers the Value Added Tax (VAT) to cover debts to several types of state taxes and duties. A draft law in this sense was adopted in the final reading by the deputies.
According to the document, the beneficiaries of the VAT Reimbursement Program will be the economic agents active in the field of agriculture and who suffered losses of more than 50 percent of agricultural production, as a result of the natural calamities produced during this year. The VAT refund will be offered for the period April 2022 – June 2023 inclusively.
