Turkey has closed its airspace to FlyOne

Turkey closed the airspace for the low-cost operator FlyOne from Armenia, a subsidiary of the low-cost airline FlyOne Moldova. The plane on the Paris-Yerevan route made an emergency landing in Chisinau, and later the passengers arrived in Armenia.

Contacted by Moldova 1, the president of the Board of Directors of the FlyOne airline, Vladimir Cebotari, stated that this is a situation with a political component, related to the relations between the two countries.

"Because of some tensions arising on the political background between Armenia and Turkey, some tensions that seem to be having some dialogues to be overcome. The Paris-Yerevan flight, which was operated by the FlyOne Armenia company, was not admitted to the Turkish airspace on Saturday and was redirected to Chisinau, and from here the passengers were re-directed to the Chisinau-Yerevan flight and the flight was already operated" , said Vladimir Cebotari.
