New Russian missile attack on Kiev region. Zelenski: Russia will not succeed in taking peace from Ukraine

Air defence systems went into action in the early hours of Monday morning after another series of Russian missile attacks in the Kiev region, local authorities said, according to Reuters and The Guardian. Emergency services issued air raid alerts across Ukraine.

"Last night, the enemy carried out another massive air strike on Ukraine. The second in a row in the last 3 days. According to preliminary information, the missiles were launched by strategic airplanes (Tu95MS). The alert in the capital lasted about 3 hours. Once again, the Russians attacked in a comprehensive manner - with cruise missiles and drones at the same time. According to preliminary information, all enemy missiles and drones were destroyed in Kiev airspace by our air defense forces! Data is being updated. According to the latest reports, there were no civilian casualties or damage to residential buildings or infrastructure," the Kiev military administration later reported.

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski said in a speech on Sunday that Russia will not succeed in taking peace away from Ukraine and that it is important that the Russians receive signals that they will not be forgiven for any of their acts of terror, News.ro reports.

At the same time, NATO Supreme Allied Commander Christopher Cavoli met on Sunday with Ukrainian Chief of Staff Valery Zalujnii to discuss the situation on the war fronts with Russia, as Ukraine prepares to launch a spring offensive to retake territory in the east, reports dpa.
