Volodimir Zelensky warns that every Russian attack will get "answered"

Ukrainian President Volodimir Zelenski warned Russia on Monday evening that every missile attack, like those that killed a 14-year-old and two young men in Monday's latest wave of bombings, will be "answered" by Ukraine, EFE and DPA news agencies report, cited by Agerpres.

In his daily address to the population, the Kiev leader said that in the settlement of Lizunovka in the Chernihiv region, a bomb destroyed "another Ukrainian school" and took the life of a 14-year-old boy who was near the building. And in Pavlograd, Dnipropetrovsk region, Russian rocket attacks took the lives of "two other young people", he said.

"My deepest condolences to the families! Another 40 people - women, children and men - have received medical care for their injuries and trauma," the Ukrainian president said in his speech.

According to Zelenski, "for every such attack, the Russian invaders will receive our response".

Following the latest Russian missile attacks, including cruise missiles, on Ukrainian cities, President Volodimir Zelenski called for the strengthening of his country's air defences, according to DPA.

The parties' preparation for the impending counteroffensive comes amid fresh Russian missile attacks, one of which on Monday morning left dozens injured in the Dnipropetrovsk region, where it caused significant damage to infrastructure.

This is the second wave of Russian shelling in three days, this time also affecting the Herson region of southern Ukraine.
