15 Egyptian sailors repatriated with Chisinau's support

Fifteen Egyptian sailors managed to return home from Ukraine with the assistance of the authorities of the Republic of Moldova. To facilitate their journey to Egypt, Chișinău issued transit visas and coordinated their passage through the country. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that all the sailors had arrived safely at their destination.

The visas were issued on October 9, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Border Police, and Egyptian diplomats in Bucharest and Kyiv assisted in organizing the transit.

"The Ministry of Foreign Affairs appreciates the effective cooperation with the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the General Inspectorate of the Border Police, and the diplomatic missions of the Arab Republic of Egypt in Bucharest and Kyiv, which contributed to the smooth conduct of the repatriation process," the institution stated.

Confirmation that the sailors had arrived home safely came from Egyptian authorities, who informed the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Chișinău of the completion of the repatriation.
