At least eight children, security guard killed in Belgrade school shooting
At least eight children and one security guard were shot dead and several other children and one teacher were wounded in a shooting spree at a school in Serbia's capital, Belgrade, the Interior Ministry said in a statement on May 3, RFE reports.
A 14-year-old student of the school who is suspected of being the shooter was arrested on the premises of Vladislav Ribnikar Elementary School, the ministry said.
"All police forces are still on the ground and are intensively working to shed light on all the facts and circumstances that led to this tragedy," the ministry said.
The ministry had previously announced that a seventh-grader had fired several shots from his father's gun in the direction of the students and the security guard.
